Ridin’ the train

A few weeks ago my daughter and I drove up to Duncan to visit the BC Forest Discovery Centre while my husband was working. I’d heard from a friend that it was a nice place, especially the steam locomotive train that offers rides around the mostly-outdoor Centre.

We ended up playing in the playground, walking in the woods, browsing through some of the buildings and riding the train three times.  After that I took the following video so that others could see what it looks like. It was pretty fun for both Chelsea and I, although she did get a little scared by the train’s whistle when we sat near the engine at the front on one of the legs.

This would be a great place to visit with kids on a nice day when you have a spare hour and a half or so.
