Playfair Park revisited

It was almost exactly a year ago that I visited Playfair Park in Victoria for the first time and wrote about it here on my blog.  Well I’m happy to report that the park is now an even better one to take preschool-aged children to.  Chelsea and I dropped by last week for another visit and discovered that the playground area has been completely redone.  It is fantastic.

We easily spent an hour playing on all the new equipment, swinging on the swings, and walking around the rest of the grassy and pathed areas. One of her favourite parts of the new playground equipment was the structure above which features the green and red “ice cream stand” area – she loved it!

I so appreciate when Parks and Rec folks put in a wood chip surface instead of a sand one.  District of Saanich, could I suggest that Sierra Park be next on your hit list?
