Last year around this time I wrote about organizing a meetup for my mom and baby group at Happy Valley Lavender Farm. I’d never been to a lavender farm before and was captivated by its beauty. In fact, the visit stayed so clearly in my memory I just had to return again this year when its gates opened.
On this visit, too, the farm was swathed in millions of lavender flowers and the kids had a great time running up and down the paths and jumping on the lavender canopied bed under the trees. It is a fantastic place to take pictures as well.
To experience this delightful farm for yourself, make sure to plan a visit this coming Friday or Saturday before the lavender is harvested on Sunday.
Oh, I wish I could have been there to watch wee Chelsea lounge on the bed and run in the rows of deep lavender blue.
